I don't need words to realize
how much I mean to you
There's nothing on this grieving earth
that love can't bear us through.
I don't need words to hear or
 know
your soul's call to my heart
   Together we construct a whole
   alone, a fractured part.
I don't need words to feel or
 sense
the love you have for me
   Partner, brother, confidante
   by fortune and destiny.
I don't need words to discern or
 grasp
your mind, your sense, your thoughts
   A glance, a nod, a trace, a smile
   bitter lessons life has taught.
I don't need words to restore or
 atone
when the world demands it's due
   I only need the healing
   that comes from knowing you.
