He snarks. It's what he does. Ethan Rayne snarks. When in doubt, snark; when attacked, snark; when insecure about a past lover returning to your life, snark doubly.
Use a witty, bitter comment when he says hello. Retort bitchily when he brings up the past. Do not let him shake your spirit when he talks about the present.
Pause in near shock when he talks about the future, and then snark, snark like you've never snarked before, because there is no way this is real. Say something wise and scorching when he apologises.
Wait a while in silence. Apologise too.
Snark when he invites you home.
