One kid whispered to another, "Is he beating him up?"

The other shook his blond head. "Can't be. Mary would've stopped them."

They kept watching for another minute.

"So what are they doing?" Asked through a mouthful of chocolate.

"Maybe dancing." Spike crawled a few feet towards the grown men who were
pushing each other against the wall. "Wrestling?"

"But it's late at night." Xander finished his snack and looked longingly at
the empty wrapper. "And it's the in-between zone, not their house." The
in-between zone was a large field set between the Cute Little Safe House
Retreat and the other house, the one where the grown-ups lived.

Spike moved even closer, and giggled.

"I can see his hiney."

Xander peeked. Indeed, the top part of a hiney was there, gleaming whitely
in the dark.

For a few minutes it was fascinating. Then it got boring. Xander yawned.

"Wanna go back to our house?" Spike whispered. His little friend nodded.

They left the two grown men alone to play whatever silly game grown ups played.
