This is Jack Sparrow and *le gasp* PIRATE Captain James Norrington! I had this lovely idea that after he is exiled from the Navy, he does pick himself off of the dirty floor of self resentment and becomes another one of those regal and epic pirate captains of the Spanish Main.

He has a ship of his own (called The Serafina) and he is known to be a fiercely talented captain. He definitely travels in style with his embroidered frocks and giant hats.

He's traveled on board the Black Pearl with a map and a bag of gold dubloons, I think he's trying to conspire Jack to help him out in some kind of scheme. He's more like the Batman of the ocean, taking out baddies for the Royal Navy but still has a target painted on his head.
