Summary: James can look like a pirate, but can he talk like one?
"You want me to talk like a pirate?" James Norrington stared at his host with horror. "Absolutely not. I'm not wearing my uniform. That should be enough for you."
The man bobbed his head in a nod, gold teeth glinting in a grin. "Aye, it is for me, Commodore, but not for me crew. They'll be suspicious of anyone who talks like a British toff."
"Meaning me." He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I'm not sure I even know how to talk like a pirate." His voice was dry as he added, "I was more concerned with hanging them, not listening to the way they spoke."
The lower lip protruded in a pout. "I'm hurt. All this time ye've spent wit' me an' ye never paid attention to the way I talk?"
"My attention is usually focused on other matters." Norrington calmly withdrew dark nimble fingers from his pocket, freeing the coin that had become tangled with them. "Such as keeping your hands out of my pockets, among other places."
Long lashes batted winningly over dark brown eyes. "Ye can't tell me ye really mind me 'elping myself to yer person an' all."
"When I'm trying to have a serious discussion with you, I do mind." James folded his arms across his chest, preventing the slender dark hands from insinuating themselves under the battered leather coat he was wearing.
The pout was more pronounced this time. "Ye're not playin' fair, Jamie-luv"
"Since when is fair play part of a pirate's life?" He raised a brown eyebrow, green eyes sceptical as they met dark ones, bright and inquisitive as a sparrow's.
Slim fingers fluttered up, almost tapping the end of James' handsome nose. "Point taken, but ye really should get in the habit of talkin' like a pirate, Commodore. Ye'll need it when we go to Tortuga. Even if me crew forgives th' occasional slip-up, ye could easily find yerself on th' wrong end o' a sword if ye talk wrong."
"Very well." Norrington sighed, uncrossing his arms so he could rest large, pale hands on his host's hips, lightly tugging him forward. "I wonder if you know of anyone who can teach me how to talk like a pirate?"
Golden teeth gleamed in a feral grin as brown fingers slipped under the leather jacket, skating over the faded green shirt Norrington wore underneath. "I know just th' man, Jamie-luv. Bin a pirate from birth."
"Do I know him?" The question was asked innocently, but the green eyes were glinting with mischief.
Jack Sparrow smirked as he began to undo buttons. "Intimately."
"I thought so." James Norrington grinned and kissed his lover warmly.
