  Puppy
 by hilson08

They were all in the conference room discussing the newest case. All
included House, Chase, Cameron, Foreman and Wilson because there was the
least possibility that it might be cancer. Even Cuddy was there, not
because of the case but due to the circumstance that the admitted patient
had given the hospital many generous donations during the years.

They were engrossed in the discussion about symptoms, possible causes and
treatments when House grunted in pain and his coffee mug flew all over the
floor. He tumbled down to the floor clutching at his stomach and writhing
in pain. The other doctors sprung to life after a short moment of shock
and kneeled beside him. It was a rather spectacular sight. House whole
shape converted, every body part covered with fur in a matter of one
minute. After approximately five minutes everything was over.

In a heap of House clothes laid a grey-fured dog. A rather big dog, not a
purebred. With the brillant blue eyes of House and the limp. The other
ones stared at him in pure disbelief. Before they could say anything at
all Foreman started to convert. Chase followed only a minute later.

Wilson, Cuddy and Cameron stared at each other.

"This is ... rather unexpected." Wilson stated lamely.

"Uh ..." Cuddy and Cameron answered in unison.

"Well, at least the races seem to fit. House is a mongrel, Chase a giant
poodle and Foreman a pitbull. Mirrors their personality, maybe?" Wilson
mused.

It got him an indignant look from House and Chase and a deep growl with
lot of teeth from Foreman. Wilson stepped back from Foreman with an
alerted look on his face. He sighed, pinched the bridge of his nose and
grabbed for his coffee mug.

"Wait! Maybe it's the coffee!" Cameron exclaimed.

"You drank it and Cuddy too and you didn't convert into a dog." Wilson
protested with an eye-roll. "Besides, if I don't get caffeine into my
system immediately I sure as hell will not be any help to solve this
problem."

He took a sip of his coffee, than drank the coffee in a few long gulps. He
put the mug aside, turned around to have a good look at the mess, er, dogs
and hoped for a miracle. Meanwhile he said to the women: "See, there's
nothing wrong with the coffee. It ..."

The rest was cut off by a painful scream. He rolled himself in a ball when
waves of nausea, dizziness and pain washed over and through him. As well
as the other three times the convertion was done after five minutes
although there was nothing to be seen in the heap of Wilson's clothes.

"Wilson?" Cuddy asked hesitantly with a slight tremor in her voice.
"James?"

The heap moved and they heard a soft whining. Someone struggled with the
clothes and Cameron took heart and helped the struggling creature. After
some time of fumbling and three dogs and two women trying to get a glimpse
of what's in the heap suddenly a little head peaked out.

"Oh my God!" Cameron squealed with glee. "Aren't you the cutest little
thing ever!"

Cuddy couldn't help but grin. "Really, a mirror of personality!"

House seemed to grin too.

Wilson simply pursed his little mouth and looked indignantly with his
puppy eyes at the others. He tried to leave the heap of clothes with as
much dignity as he could - although he found it rather difficult due two
being converted in a seemingly very little puppy - but failed instantly.
He got tangled up in his tie until Cameron took pity and rescued him. She
pressed him to her chest and petted his head gently. Wilson showed his
appreciation of the petting with a waggling tail and rubbing his head
against her hand.

"Well, we have to take care of you, don't we sweetie?" She cooed, all the
while stroking his soft fur.

"Do you think he's able to eat normal dog food? He seems to be very
little." She asked with obvious concern in her voice.

House yawned and rolled his eyes, Foreman barked aggressively.

"Uh, well, ... I guess we should consult a vet and than try to find the
cause of the convertion." Foreman gave a short bark of acknowledgement at
Cuddy's coment.

"I'll go to my office and call a vet, you stay here and keep an eye on
them."

Cameron sat down on a chair with a very content puppy in her lap. House
limped over to them and laid his big head in her lap too. Cameron was a
bit surprised at first but simply started to do what came first in her
mind, she rubbed behind his ears. House stared at Wilson who waggled with
his tail and pounced. House gave a grunt of surprise when puppy-Wilson
snapped for his ear and pulled with his sharp little teeth at it. He
pulled back in a swift motion which send the puppy sailing through the
air. Cameron gasped in shock and immediately jumped up to go after Wilson.
He laid on his belly with all four limps splayed. He gave a small whimper
and looked pleadingly from deep brown eyes at Cameron. She grabbed the
small bundle and cradled it.

"Are you all right? Did he hurt you?" Wilson shaked his head as an answer.
Cameron stared angrily at House.

"How could you do that?! You could have hurt him badly! There's no way
I'll let him stay with you without supervision!" She shouted loudly.

It only got her another yawn. She ranted on and pressed puppy-Wilson to
her chest again. He stood up with his hindpaws on Cameron's hand and his
forepaws and head lurking above her shoulder. He grinned at House smugly.
House blinked in surprise but grinned back after a moment, this could be
fun after all ...

*********

The vet came, examined all four dogs and declared them to be healthy
except for House's leg. He couldn't really determine the age of the puppy
due to him being absolutely uncooperative. Cameron was cooing all the time
while the vet and Cuddy tried to hold a wildly struggling Wilson. The
high-pitched whimpering voices and the big pleadingly looking brown eyes
begging to rescue him from the evil doctor didn't help at all. Cuddy
petted Wilson after the examination when he was trembling all over. She
spoke to him in a soft voice till the trembling subdued and after a while
he put his nose out of the blanket she had cradled him in. She handed him
reluctantly back to Cameron who breathed out a sigh of relief. A short
while later he was curled up in the blanket in Cameron's arms and asleep.
Cameron wouldn't lay him down anywhere, instead she carried him around
with her.

Cuddy organized dog food, water and bowls for the dogs and bottles and
special puppy milk for Wilson. Chase watched Foreman wolfing down his food
with disgust. He sniffled at the food with open revulsion but after a few
hours had no other choice than to try it. It wasn't too bad. House didn't
really mind, at least Cuddy turned on the TV so that he could watch his
soaps.

Cameron was jubilant at giving Wilson his milk bottle who in return wasn't
all to happy about this. He wanted to get some of the dog food cause there
was no way that he would get himself fed with a bottle! Foreman barked at
him maliciously when he came near his bowl which lead to the embarassing
moment of Wilson pissing all over the floor in fear. After the
recocognition of what he'd done he ran off and hid under a shelf. He
curled himself up into the smallest ball he was able, feeling miserable
and hungry. No good word from Cameron or Cuddy got him out there, he felt
too ashamed.

After half an hour House came over and stared at him. First he grinned
from ear to ear but after a short while he felt sorry for the little puppy
who hid his eyes under his paws. Since he couldn't reach the puppy-Wilson
with his paws he knocked the shelf over. The puppy gave a yelp and tried
to flee which of course wasn't successful. House caught him and carried
him by the nape of his neck over to Cameron. She had a strong hold on the
still struggling puppy, putting the sucker of the bottle in his mouth
while talking to him. Puppy-Wilson now wasn't only embarassed but also
angry - he didn't want to drink milk from a bottle!

After another few minutes Cameron was about to lose her patience. She put
the bottle next to her, hold the puppy by the nape of his neck in front of
her face and told him in a stern voice: "Even if you don't want to drink
the milk, you have too. Your body changed into a very young puppy who
isn't able to tolerate any other food than this and with the bottle you
also train your sucking reflex. And now keep still and drink!"

Wilson crossed his forepaws and pouted when Cameron put him back on her
lap trying to pry his mouth open to get the sucker in. When it was of no
use she sighed and said: "I'm sorry but you're leaving me no choice ..." A
slap on his back made him gasp - that was what she had waited for! She put
the sucker in, held him tightly and eventually puppy-Wilson sucked ... and
sucked.

House grinned, gave a short bark and waggled his tail to show Cameron that
she'd done a good job. She smiled at him and than at the contently
suckling puppy. "See, not too bad, is it? Are you always this stubborn?"

House barked again and rolled his eyes exaggerately. "Well, come to think
of it ... You have to be stubborn if you put up with him as long as you
do."

******

They didn't have a clue what triggered the change from men to dogs till
the evening of the day. Cameron naturally decided to take Wilson home with
her which resulted in taking Wilson and House with her. Cuddy took Chase
and Foreman but grumbled the whole time and said that the next day she
would take Wilson with her.

Cameron did have to get up three times during the night because Wilson
certainly was a very little puppy and in need of his bottle every three
hours. He was embarassed about his neediness at first and also that
Cameron told him to pee quite often but after a while he felt very content
in her arms. He fell asleep mostly while drinking his milk and she was too
tired to stand up and put him back in the basket she made up for him.
After the second bottle Cameron shared the bed not only with Wilson but
also with House who decided that he was too old for the floor. Wilson
scooped over to House big forepaws during the night and huddled himself
against the paws and the big head. House nuzzled the puppy and sighed
happily. To be a dog had it good sides!

******

The next days went on in quite the same style. Cuddy had put a team
together who tried to solve the puzzle of the convertion. They took a
blood sample from every dog - although they did it with a lot of
difficulties. Chase acted like a choked primadonna, Foreman was in need of
a muzzle and a needle, House was at least not totally uncooperative but
the most difficult one was - again - the puppy. He ran off and hid
everywhere it was possible. The whining wasn't very helpful either. At
least not helpful for Cameron, Cuddy and the other doctors who wanted to
get a blood sample. Often enough he would get rescued by an enraged nurse
than ran off again for a new hiding place. After two hours in this game
Cameron had enough.

In a singing voice she said: "Hm, what do I have here? Looks like a
delicious milk bottle ... if I only could find a poor little puppy who
would like to drink it ..."

Wilson's mouth watered, he felt lightheaded from hunger and so, so tired.
A little whining noise escaped his mouth at the thought of the bottle.
Cameron of course heard it and shouted: "There he is!"

Two male nurses grabbed him and carried him over to Cameron. He
immediately snatched at the sucker of the bottle.

"Oh no, sweetie! First the blood sample than the bottle."

Wilson got all saucer-eyed and started to wail in a heartbreaking way.
Cameron had to fight hard against the urge to feed him on the spot.
Instead she carried him back to the conference room, sweating all over,
tears threatened to spill at the desperate wailing from the puppy.

"C-can you h-hold him for taking the blood sample, p-please?"

She held the still wailing puppy out to Cuddy who took him. To take the
blood wasn't as easy as expected and they had to prick a few times which
increased the wailing even more. After the third attempt House came over,
hauled himself up on the table and dragged the shivering puppy between his
forepaws to soothe him. He licked the puppy and after all they got the
blood sample. Wilson nearly jumped into Cameron's arms to get to the
bottle. As mostly he felt asleep during the suckling. Cameron took a deep
breath before she said: "This is the cutest puppy Vie ever had but
certainly the most handful one too."

*********

After five days they still didn't had a clue about the reason for the
convertion. Foreman got more and more aggressive, so that they had to
stake him and he had to wear a muzzle most of the time. He was especially
malicious towards Wilson who in return was extremely scared of him.

Chase broadcasted an aura of nonchalance and got himself some admirers who
looked after him regularly. Even Cuddy liked to have him around her. Of
course she never got to take Wilson home with her. Cameron was like a
lioness when it came to the puppy, ready to bite everyone's head off when
she thought that someone might hurt or misunderstand him.

Not the best combination when you consider that both - House and Wilson -
were full of mischief. The puppy appearance being very helpful to trick
people. Cameron had her hands full with chasing after the two dogs most of
the time and scolding them. A lost case on House but not on Wilson who got
all embarassed, with his tail tucked between his legs and crawling towards
her with his head bowed. Big brown eyes begging her to forgive and so she
did everytime until she saw a reflection of the two of them grinning to
each other rather smugly after Wilson had twisted her around his finger,
er, paw - again.

She pretended to leave but instead spied on them. They surely would be up
to something again during the next hour. And indeed they were.

How two dogs were able to do it will stay beyond belief for her forever
but still they did. They got the sprinkler system activated during a
meeting which led to a very wet and furious Cuddy. The two of them were
grinning in delight at the sight. Nobody would assume that they could have
to do something with it.

Cameron grabbed Wilson by the nape of the neck strongly and glared at him.
He yelped in surprise. Both dogs waggled their tails to ensure that they
didn't have to do anything with the activation of the sprinkler system.

"You two won't get to sleep in my bed anymore and I'm sure you," she
looked angrily at House "can do without diner tonight!"

House looked shocked and started to whine but she cut him off. "Shut up!
Or you can sleep outsight!"

She took a breath: "And you!" She shook the puppy lightly for emphasize
who looked at her frightened "I'm more than disappointed in you! You
played tricks on me! I guess you don't mind if we leave out one or two
bottles this night and maybe your next one too."

Wilson gulped and started to whimper.

"Jaimy, you shut up too! Maybe a good hiding would be a good idea for
you!" She was scowling at him. "And I'll buy a leash for both of you!"

Cameron had started to call him Jaimy because she believed that Wilson
wasn't a suitable name for a dog and James was to formal for a puppy.
Sometimes he even obeyed when she shouted his name ...

Indeed she stayed true to her word - to some degrees. Both dogs were
rather hungry but didn't dare to beg or whine although it was really hard
for Wilson. He tossed around in the basket when it was time for his first
nightbottle and sobbed a little. House came over, put him between his
forepaws - which Cameron didn't allow either although she knew that it was
their favourite sleeping position - and licked along his fur in gentle
strokes. Cameron caved after an hour, gave House a little bit to eat and
Wilson his bottle for which he had been so grateful that he even stayed
awaked and licked her hands as a "Thank you". But they were not allowed to
sleep in the bed in this night.

After this incident they behaved better or at least were more careful ...

**************

Another two days later they finally got to the bottom of the problem. It
had been the coffee. It had get hocked with an experimental drug which
only led to a reaction in male individuals. They got to know that the drug
would wear off after minimum 10 days up to maximum three weeks. Why Wilson
wasn't turned into a grown-up dog couldn't be explained. Nobody minded
this fact cause everyone simply loved the puppy with the big brown eyes.

Most of the nurses wanted to fed the puppy but Wilson only let Cameron
feed him. He would wail and whimper when anyone else would try. Cameron
was rolling her eyes everytime at this but also liked to have him on his
back on her lap, suckling on the bottle. She was sad when she thought that
it would end in the foreseeable future. She had gotten used to the two
dogs in her bed, to the sight of the two so tightly nestled up against
each other. Maybe they could adopt the physical contact after the
re-convertion ...

Most staff members of the hospital got used to the view of House and
Wilson strolling along the corridors or taking a nap at any place they
liked. The nurses had big smiles plastered all over their faces when they
saw the two sleeping together - the puppy huddled between House big
forepaws and smiling. Sometimes they catched House licking Wilson or
helping him to climb up a chair by nudging him with his nose or simply
lifting him up. On rare occasions when Wilson became to tired to walk
House would be seen carrying him by the nape of his neck or letting him
ride on his back. Of course House would growl at anyone who caught him
being nice and protective towards the puppy.

**********

Foreman was the first to convert back at day 10, followed by Chase at day
12. House followed on day 15. Only Wilson remained.

Foreman didn't want to talk about his experience at all while Chase had a
lot to talk about. House scared everyone off with his rude remarks which
led to an amused looking puppy.

House had gotten used to the little puppy being around him most time of
the day. He would never admit it but he liked to take a nap and have the
little ball of fur curled up on his stomach. He even liked to watch
Cameron feeding him and secretly wished he would be at her place.

House liked that Wilson seemed to be happy and full of mischief. There
wasn't a day without Cameron glaring indignantly at the puppy. The puppy
simply did what he wanted to do and didn't care at all for the
consequences althought it sometimes got him in rather uncomfortable
situations.

**********************

One day Wilson strolled down to the lab, searching for Cameron or House or
anyone who would like to play with him. He was bored out of his mind and
wanted some attention. He had to wait quite a while before someone opened
the door so that he could slip in. He dragged the little stuffed bear
Cameron had bought for him with him.

He hadn't grown in the last two weeks but he had gotten accomplished in
jumping up on chairs and other things to get to things out of his reach.
He jumped on the chair with some difficulties, nearly losing his balance
than climbed up on the desk. He didn't took in consideration that he could
knock up the test-tubes on the desk with his jump. They skittered on the
floor with a loud crash. Everyone's attention turned to the puppy who
tried to hide behind a microscope.

Cameron stalked over with an angry look on her face. "Jaimy! Come out
there!"

He hadn't ever heard her sounding this demanding and angered. He lurked
around the microscope and waggled a bit with his tail. He had gotten used
to her and her gentle treatment, he really didn't want her to be angry at
him.

"Jaimy!" Now her voice really sounded pissed off. He looked at her in
fear, he still had his human mind but he also was a very little and very
flustered puppy. She grabbed him by the nape of his neck and scolded him.
He wasn't allowed to go to the lab, she didn't want him to stroll in the
corridors and so on. He was whining after a few minutes. Normally whining
would get him in her arms in a matter of seconds but this time it didn't
help. She just set him on the floor out of the lab, no petting, no
soothing, nothing.

Wilson felt miserable.

With his head bowed and sniffling all the while he went up to the ground
floor. There he had an idea! He only had to get House and help him ...

It wasn't especially difficult to get House down and near the hospital
giftshop. Only some light wailing and rubbing his little head at Houses
leg had been necessary. Wilson decided on a large sunflower and yanked it
out of the vase. It was a bit more difficult to carry than he had expected
but nonetheless he got it right after a few moments and walked off the
shop with his prize in his mouth. Surely this would pacify Cameron.

The owner of the giftshop shouted after him but Wilson simply ran faster.
More toppling than running though. The owner forced House to pay for the
flower which had been Wilson's plan in the beginning. After some fighting
about the price House relented cause Wilson appeared to be his dog and
therefore he had to pay for the sunflower and the broken vase ...

House caught up with him and scowled. "What did you do now? Is Mommy angry
at you?" He mocked the puppy. "Trying to pour oil on troubled water with a
sunflower?"

Wilson sat down on his butt and barked unluckily at House.

"Well, good luck with getting the flower up three floors without
destroying it."

Wilson started to wail softly, begging House with his eyes to help him.

"No way, little one. No way I'm gonna help you!"

Wilson now wailed in earnest, he was miserable, he was hungry, he was
tired and House was simply an ass. Two minutes later he was in House's
arm, the flower with him and House ranted: "I can't believe that you're so
manipulative!"

He even helped Wilson bringing the sunflower to Cameron later who of
course took it happily, the incident in the lab completely forgotten.
Wilson felt much better after having soothed Cameron, a lot of milk in his
belly and some good strokes later.

******************

"So, do you like to be everyone's darling?" House asked three weeks after
the convertion when Wilson was still the beloved puppy. "I've to admit I'm
rather glad to be able to talk again although it was a quite comfortable
experience." He absentmindedly scratched the puppy behind his ears.

"So, how long will you stay like this? I bet you're starving for a pizza
or any real meal." Wilson whined at this thought, the milk helped against
the hunger but it was always the same ...

"You know what it's the most interesting? You didn't grow in the last
three weeks, you're still the very little puppy. Strange, huh?" House eyes
narrowed in concentration. "So, you like to be taken care of instead of
being the one who has to take care of someone else?"

Wilson snuffled, shaked himself properly than jumped down from House's
desk and walked to the door begging House to open it for him. House stood
up and limped over. "Mom doesn't like it when you stroll around the
corridors on your own."

The puppy gave a soft bark, jumped up at House leg and waggled his tail.

"Okay, I'll let you out but don't pull a stunt!"

The puppy lumbered off and House couldn't help himself but smile at the
relaxed sight of Wilson. Chase looked over and raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't think you would fall for the puppy eyes."

"I didn't fall for the puppy eyes." House retorted while thinking: I did
fall for the eyes a long time ago.

"Cameron will get pissed if he's not here in an hour for his bottle.
She'll get even more pissed when he falls down the stairs again." And you
promised to look after him was the unsaid accusation.

"He's a big boy." Short hesitant pause. "Okay, he isn't. I'll go after
him. Can't be too far away with the short legs."

Which he could quite well. After an hour House still had no idea where the
puppy was gone and there was absolutely no sign of him. Cameron was so
furious that even House was a bit intimidated. They thought that Wilson
would come back because of hunger but he didn't. Two hours later Cameron
was screaming her lungs out and every available staff member searched for
the puppy.

House came back from another searching round. He wouldn't admit it but he
was worried about the cute little puppy. Than he heard a sound behind the
door of Wilson's office. He entered it and was greeted with a happily
grinning Wilson. Who was sitting in a card box which had apparently been
full with doughnuts and other delicious things. The whole puppy was a
mess. Covered in sugar, chocolate, cream and hell knew what other things.
The puppy gave a soft bark before sticking his tongue in another doughnut,
trying to lick the cream out of it. His tail waggled a happy dance. House
had to smile.

"You know that you'll pay for this dearly, do you?"

The puppy only shrugged and kept on licking until a horrified gasp got his
attention.

"Oh my God! Jaimy, are you insane?! You can't eat doughnuts - you're a
dog!"

Cameron grabbed the puppy and glared at him.

"Eew, you're a mess! Guess well have to give you a bath." She sighed
deeply. "And you know that you'll be very ill in a few hours and that I
have to pay for this too. Of course this wouldn't have happened if your so
called best friend would have looked after you."

She glared at House before she added: "You'll come with me and help me
giving him a bath."

Fortunately Wilson liked to bath. They had to change clothes afterwards
nonetheless but at least the puppy was clean. Shortly after the bath and
having him rubbed down the cramps started. Wilson whimpered and wailed
while curling himself together in a tight ball. Cameron and House really
wanted to stay serious and tell him that he'd gotten himself here all by
himself. Instead they took turns in carrying the wailing puppy around,
rubbing his belly, wiping off the vomit and instilling tea in him drop per
drop. Cameron took House home with her so that they were able to take
turns in the night.

**************************

Both looked like death warmed over the next day. The puppy still looked a
bit nauseaus but was able to drink a little bit milk too. This time House
didn't let him go without supervision, he even put the leash on. Which of
course got him some accusing and sad looks from big brown eyes. Wilson
simply trotted next to him with his head bowed and radiating misery.

"For crying out loud!" House threw his hands in the air, than put the
leash down and gathered the puppy in his arm. The puppy sighed happily and
licked shortly along House hand all the while waggling his tail. House
simply scowled at him but went on with carrying him around the whole day.

In the evening House announced: "I think I know why you don't convert
back."

Wilson peaked up from his current position of House lap and looked at him
curiously.

"You really like to be taken care instead of the other way around." Wilson
only yawned and started to nestle himself back when House spoke again: "I
haven't finished."

Reluctantly Wilson looked up again.

"Cameron loves to pamper you. She's tired to her bones because of all the
times she has to get up at night but I've never seen her this content and
happy. You make her happy as a puppy, as Jaimy, and you feel guilty about
leaving her."

Sure enough a guilty expression flitted across the puppy's face. He looked
at House in desperation. House sighed: "Do you really want to stay like
this? I'm sure it is nice but don't you miss some other things? Like
telling me to shut up?"

The puppy took a breath than nodded.

"What about this? You'll go home with her today for one last night.
Tomorrow you'll only think of yourself and convert back into your human
shape."

House murmured his suggestion in a softspoken voice while gently petting
the little puppy. The puppy's body stiffened first than nodded sharply and
huddled himself back down in House hands and lap, shivering a little.

House told Cameron his diagnosis and also his suggestion. Her eyes flooded
with tears but before they could start to flow she had her hands full with
an energetic ball of Wilson who furiously licked her face. He than jumped
to the floor, brought her a ball as an invitation to play with him. She
laughed and followed the invitation. After a while she got paged.

"Uh, House? Could you feed him in about 15 minutes?"

"You're the only one who's able to feed him!" House protested.

Cameron held the puppy and said to him: "You'll let House feed you, right
Jaimy? Otherwise you have to stay hungry for quite a while."

She handed the puppy to House. Both looked a bit sceptically at the other
until House grumbled: "The things I do for you ... You owe me! A lot, for
all the things I did in the past three weeks!"

Wilson waggled his tail in acknowledgement before he got comfortable in
House lap suckling on his bottle and falling asleep.

Cameron ended her day early so that she could spend as much time as
possible with the puppy. In the evening they laid on her bed, Wilson
sprawled out on her breasts grinning when she said: "I'm really gonna miss
you! What about you? You're going to miss ogling my breasts?"

Wilson gave a soft bark for a yes and his tail waggled quickly.

"Don't you dare tell House that you've been allowed to lay up here!"

He crawled a bit more up on her body and started to lick away the flowing
tears. He slept the night in her arms feeling torn between sadness and
relief.

*************

The next day Cameron brought Wilson directly to House office and set him
on the floor.

"So, time to say good-bye to Jaimy the puppy, huh?" She sniffled and wiped
tears away from her cheeks. The puppy lumbered over to her, rubbed his
little head at hers and gave soft whimpering noises. She gently patted him
on his head when House grabbed the puppy and put him out of her reach.

"Geez, would you two stop this drama-play?! Now think of all the things
you can do as a grown up human being like playing video-games, eating meat
or doughnuts ..."

He held a card box with doughnuts triumphantly out in the air. Wilson
licked his lips at the sight in front of him. Than looked back at a very
sad looking Cameron. He nearly winced at her sad face. She cleared her
throat, came over and removed the collar from his neck. "You don't need
this anymore."

Suddenly Wilson gasped and started to writhe on the floor. Five minutes
later he was back in his human body.

"The running and playing as a puppy certainly had an effect on your body.
I think you lost a lot of weight." House stated in appreciation.

Wilson frowned at first than looked down. Of course he had to be naked,
naked in front of Cameron. A crimson shade of red creeped into his cheeks,
he hid his embarassed face in his palms when Cameron threw a blanket to
him.

"I'll get you some clothes!" She laughed before she went off.

Wilson wrapped himself in the blanket and glared at House. He grabbed one
of the doughnuts and wolfed it down. A short time later Cameron came back
with scrubs which he put on quickly.

"Well, I, uh, I would like to thank you. I didn't allow you much sleep, I
think." He smiled at her a bit apologetic.

"My pleasure. I don't mind the missing sleep but I've to admit that I
didn't think that you would be such a troublemaker." She grinned at him
knowingly.

"Oh, that ... Well, I ... I was a puppy. They, ... that's just the way
they are ..." He shrugged his shoulders and nervously rubbed his neck with
one hand.

"Yeah, right. You know about your suggestion that the dog races mirror the
personality - it fit perfectly for you!" House said. "Now everybody at the
hospital knows that you're not half as mature as you always try to be."

Wilson scowled while Cameron giggled. "You both were quite an odd pair.
Well, you are always an odd couple. Hah, you looked so cute together and
you couldn't even hide that you care about Wilson."

Now it was Wilson's turn to giggle and House's to scowl. "The puppy thing
really had some good sides. I didn't have to care about food and all the
other everyday things and from this viewpoint I could see some interesting
..., um, things."

"You mean, you ogled the nurses?" House found this clearly incredible.
Cameron only shaked her head. Wilson strolled out of Houses office over to
his own after nodding towards both with a big smile on his face.

********************

In the afternoon House barged into Wilson's office and made himself at
home on his couch. Wilson merely looked up from his paperwork.

"You're making yourself at home in my office because ..." He tilted his
head in a questioning manner with raised eyebrows.

"I'm taking a nap, don't bother."

"And you take a nap in my office because ..."

"On the fifteen days I've been a dog I always took a nap on your couch
with you laying between my paws. Come to think of it, I also took a nap on
your couch all the following days with you sleeping on my stomach. I've
gotten used to it."

"Ah, well then ... go ahead. You nap while I try to get a general idea of
what happened in the last three weeks in my department."

An hour later Wilson was more than annoyed. He had tried to ignore House
but the tossing was really disturbing.

"House, that's not taking a nap! What's your problem?" He exclaimed
exasperately.

"Something is missing." House told him.

"And what is it? A bone, a leash? Whatever it is, go and get it or just
get out of my office so that at least I can work!"

"Something is missing." House repeated.

"You said so before, I'm not deaf and I don't want to play a game House!"
Wilson shot back annoyed.

"Someone is missing." House clarified.

Wilson wanted to give a scoffing remark when realizations suddenly hit
him. He shut down his computer than walked over to House.

"I think I'm in need of a nap too." Wilson said softly before crawling
between House legs and nestling comfortably against Houses chest. House
grinned, dropped a kiss on Wilson's head before tightening his grip on
him. He could feel Wilson smile against him.

Five minutes later both men were sleeping.

******************************

Cameron and Cuddy were both searching for House late in the afternoon,
though for different reasons. Since they weren't able to track him down in
his usual hiding places they knocked at Wilson's office. Although they
didn't get an answer they opened the door - nowadays there could happen
the strangest things ...

Both women smiled when they saw House and Wilson huddled against each
other on the couch. Cameron went to fetch a blanket and covered them with
it. Wilson stirred a bit in his sleep and Cameron couldn't resist to push
some strands of his hair out of his face, but he didn't wake up.

When they stood outside of Wilson's office Cameron said: "I made some
really nice pictures of them as dogs, even some of House with Wilson as a
puppy. He always carried him around and would let him sleep between his
paws."

Cuddy started to grin: "I've a camera in my office."
