Blair was asleep when the stalker slipped in through the partly-open front door. Sprawled placidly across his lover's huge bed, the young anthropologist was enjoying a wonderful dream. He smiled in his sleep as soft footsteps swiftly climbed the stairs.
He was dreaming of the jungle. He and Jim were following Jim's Spirit Guide. Blair's heart beat faster as, in his dream, he vaulted over a fallen tree, hot on the heels of The Sentinel. All at once, the magnificent black panther they were pursuing stopped.
Blair stepped back as Jim and the big cat circled each other. Then, with a blue flash, the animal leaped forward and literally vanished into Jim's chest. The young Guide watched in awe as his lover recoiled, then slowly straightened. Jim's skin began to darken as he turned toward Blair, front teeth slowly elongating into fangs.
Jim/Panther strode slowly and purposefully toward his lover, and Blair felt his heartbeat begin to race with anticipation. The transformation became complete as the creature neared him, the panther's body held the soul of The Sentinel.
Totally without fear, Blair smiled as the big cat reared up and planted heavy paws on his shoulders. He grinned as his face was licked by a warm, wet tongue.
Meanwhile, in the real world the hunter stood over its prey, breathing coming in soft pants, bright eyes glittering in the dim early morning light. Stealthily, he drew nearer to the bed, and the beautiful creature that lounged naked on the sheets.
Warm breath kissed Blair's face, and he giggled as the big cat's tongue lapped at his ear. "Heehee, Jimmm! Stop that!"
Blair's own voice awoke him from the dream, and he lay there with uncertainty, disoriented. His face was damp, and something smelled distinctly.... Cat-like.
He turned his head to the side and bit back a yelp. Crouched calmly beside his bed was the panther. Blair froze in terror as the big cat moved forward. Then he relaxed as the tongue licked at his face again. He was still dreaming.
Curious to see how far this dream would go, Blair lay back down on the sheets. He patted the mattress beside him and Jim/panther obediently hopped up beside him, his formidable weight causing the bed to sag. The cat flopped down, half covering Blair's legs.
The anthropologist grinned as he reached toward the big head. When he began to scratch lightly behind the silky ears, he swore he heard Jim's voice moaning in pleasure. He moved to sit up, and found himself instantly transfixed by two blue-green eyes.
Jim/panther slowly rose to his feet on the bed and moved forward. Blair froze as the big creature came to stand over him, two paws on either side of his body. He tried to sit up again, and found his arms pinned under two massive black forepaws.
Looking up into the face of the creature, Blair felt a twinge of fear. What on earth was going to happen now? He was sure Jim would never hurt him, but that was before Jim had three-inch-long claws. He noticed the claws were carefully sheathed, however, as the paws pinned him. Blair felt his unease fade away. It was, after all, only a dream.
Jim/panther's head lowered, and Blair could smell the faintest tinge of jungle in the warm, moist breath that caressed his face. He closed his eyes as the feline face came closer still, and jumped a little when the hot, wet tongue flicked out and touched his eyelid.
Blair opened his eyes as Jim/panther began gently tongue-bathing his face. He smiled and arched his head back as teeth that could easily sever his neck tenderly grazed his cheekbone. Then he giggled as the furry face snuffled under his chin.
The creature lapped at the hollow of his throat before moving downward. Blair opened his eyes again and watched as Jim/panther lowered his face to his shoulder, and gently took the smooth joint in his jaws. the slight pressure of the sharp teeth sent little prickles of ;pleasure up and down Blair's arm, and he moaned.
The Sentinel/Spirit guide moved again, slowly inching backward along Blair's body. The anthropologist bit back and yelp as his left nipple was sniffed, then tasted by a rough, sandpaper tongue. The touch was repeated on his right nipple, wet trail of feline saliva left to cool as the big creature's head moved lower.
Blair clenched his fists, feeling the weight of the great paws that pinned his arms to the bed. Jim/panther lifted his head, and Blair swore he saw a smile on the big cat's face. Then he squeezed his eyes shut with a low gasp as the cat began to lap at his belly.
"Eek! Jim stop!" Blair giggled, squirming. "Jim, that tickles! Ack, no! Heeheeheeheehee!"
The stiff whiskers brushed in teasing, tickling sweeps across his stomach as the Sentinel explored every inch of his chest and abdomen. Blair thought he would go mad from the combination of humid breath, silky whiskers, and rough, wet tongue taking turns on his sensitized skin.
"Ohhhh Jim, you're killing me!" Blair arched his head back, throaty laughter bubbling up from his chest.
When that tongue began to gently bathe the area around his belly-button, Blair almost lost it. His body was covered in a sheen of sweat now, that his tormentor seemed intent upon licking away. The rough tongue continued to bathe him, dipping into his navel, lingering, before licking and lapping in a teasing path down the line of hair that trailed from belly-button to groin.
Blair relaxed against the pillows, defeated.
The whiskers had just begun to tease the dark hair of Blair's crotch, when there was a shout from below.
"Sandburg!"
Blair's eyes flew open, and he stared at the being on top of him.
"Did you say something?" he asked the big cat. No reply other, than the large ears flattening against the skull. A low snarl issued from the dark throat as the cat turned to look upon the intruder.
Hard footsteps were coming up the stairs. Blair recognized the sound of Jim's breathing, and he froze. If that was Jim....
"Sandburg, you awake?" Jim was saying as he climbed the stairs. "We just got a call from the cascade zoo. There's been an escape....,"
Jim's voice broke off as he reached his bedroom. His eyes went from the now-agitated cat to his helpless roommate, who lay sprawled beneath the animal.
"J... Jim," Blair squeaked feebly.
"Blair," Jim said softly, slowly pulling his cell phone from his pocket. "Don't move. Just keep still, baby."
