Love's Labour Found is an original story I'm working on. It's the story of a married couple who lose their way and have to find it again. It begins when the male lead, Stephen, comes home and discovers that his mother has swooped down and taken the kids out of the house when he wasn't home which caused his wife, Amber, to have an emotional breakdown. He then has to face the unenviable task of deciding if she should go into a mental hospital or not. While she's being evaluated by the doctors, he thinks back to how they met.
I decided to try and beat my longest word count, 37,931 41,647, and so settled on 38,000 50,000. I changed it to 40,000 because the new word meter I'm using has preset numbers and 38,000 isn't one of them. Below is my progress so far.
