The Oxford University Folklore and FanFiction Society
Meeting Minutes - 27 November 2004
at that cafe in the Golden Cross, saturday 27 november, 2pm
present: Tyrannist, President of Vice, Recording Secretary, Hat Officer, Head Boy
absent: Co-Founder/non-Treasurer
2:00pm - RS was on time, and nobody was there to appreciate it.
Others arrived. Discussion of flapjacks, which are not the same thing at all in Britain as they are in the US. US flapjacks are pancakes (but not in the British sense; thick ones to eat with syrup, not crepes); British flapjacks are some sort of oatmeal bar.
Day's activity was similar to 21 Nov activity but for a longer period. Prompt: two characters are at a wake; one has a secret."
All but Tyrannist began writing.
After five minutes: Tyrannist called "diagram" -- one character draws the other a diagram on a napkin.
Five minutes later: Tyrannist called "genaeology".
Next five minutes: Tyrannist called "demon lover", a tribute to our absent Co-Founder/non-Treasurer.
Next: Tyrannist called "advertizing jingles".
Next: Tyrannist called "raid for illegal objects".
Next: Tyrannist called "film noir".
Next: Tyrannist called "flapjacks".
Finally: Tyrannist called "rhyming couplets".
Was writing period too long? Too short?
Next time, should be same length, but indoors (cold outside) and on a table without slats.
