My Own Beast
by Patt Paulos-Darrow
Some might want to call this man a mighty beast.
All I know is I would like on him to feast.
With his bright blue eyes, I am drooling all over the computer keys.
Oh now I have to say it, he brings me to my knees.
He makes me tremble and shake.
With him I would gladly stay awake.
What a gorgeous man, with humor too.
Oh tell me Simon, what do you suggest I do?
Do I begin to follow or leave him alone?
I don't want to have to call him on the phone.
Okay, I shall be good; I don't want to give him a scare.
But I know that Jim would take me on a dare.
Oh please, give me the courage to at least ask.
And in the after-glow of love, we shall both bask.
