No One
by Patt Paulos-Darrow
Speaking, but not heard.
No one to listen.
Senses that want to take over.
No one to experience it with.
Loneliness surrounding me.
No one to love.
Touching, but not feeling.
No one to care.
Seeing this man, in my dreams.
No one is real when I wake up.
Tasting him by breathing in his scent.
No one to help me from zoning on him.
His heart beat is keeping time in my head.
No one to tell me where he is.
The blue eyes in the dream are calling me.
No one to help me wake up.
Why can't I find this man?
No one to push me in the right direction.
Suddenly he is in front of me.
No one to tell me what to do.
He says he is here to help me.
No one to tell me that he is right.
I already know this.
No one expected me to love him.
This man has been in my head for a year.
No one to stop us now.
