The sun glinted off the lake's still waters; lake it was, though it stretched far enough to be called a sea. The people of this planet called the precious lake "Blood Water". In their language and culture, blood was the source of life and the carrier of emotions, and the beauty of the water instilled great feelings of peace and joy to those who visited it. Qui-Gon was no exception.
He stood on the shore looking at the great expanse and felt himself relax. The water soothed him merely by being there, so blue and clean and inviting. Inviting. Qui-Gon smiled.
It had been a long several days, first arguing with one government official, then actively fighting off the guards from another. The coup begun a month ago had become artful, and less obviously deadly as cunning traps were laid instead of assassins being sent.
One after another was dealt with until someone, still in power by luck alone, realised that only with outside assistance could the rebellion have gained so much ground. The Jedi were sent in then, to discover the cause and remove, if necessary, the illegal presence.
It was illegal because the Senate deemed it so; Qui-Gon had long since disdained trying to discover the logic behind the politics that sent the Jedi hither and yon. But the living Force had told that him here was the right place to be, and so they had come willingly. In the space of four days, he and Obi-Wan had argued with, fought with, and hidden from almost every government official and rebel leader on the planet.
Until yesterday, when the Minister had died of an untimely arrow through the neck, and peace settled once again. No one took credit, but no one complained. Both sides thanked the Jedi for their assistance.
Obi-Wan had suggested that perhaps it was simply a sort of game, and urged his Master to accept the offer to spend a day of rest here at Blood Water. Again, the Force was acquiescent. Qui-Gon therefore agreed, and now he stood here, looking at a vista at great odds with the warring behind them.
Obi-Wan had gone up the shore a way, and stretched out now on a large rock overlooking the water. He was relaxed, nearly dozing as far as Qui-Gon could see. The sun sparkled off a sudden tiny wave as something in the water touched the surface and Qui-Gon gave in to his impulse.
He removed his robe and folded it neatly, then laid it aside. His tunic and belt followed, then pants and boots. There were no inquisitive animals nearby to steal his clothing, so he left them there and strode into the water.
It was cool, just a touch below body temperature. It drew goosebumps, though, as it closed in on his body. It swirled around his legs and he felt his way carefully, but the stones moved little beneath his step and he had little fear of falling.
He walked deeper and felt the stir of fish as they vanished from the area, startled by his presence. Something else moved away more slowly, but it too posed no threat. Qui-Gon took a deep breath, the crisp air filling his lungs. The sun was warm, the breeze almost non-existent. Qui-Gon walked in until the water was near his waist.
He dropped all at once, and immersed himself. The water surrounded him completely and he could see through it with nearly ten feet of clarity. Underwater plants of all kinds, fish still scurrying into the distance, stones of grey and green created a silent but beautiful world. He rose, then, and inhaled deeply.
Lifting his arms, he ran his fingers through his hair, removing the clasp and combing his hair out. The water seemed to have soaked into his entire being, lifting his spirit and encasing it in vibrant crystal.
He let his battle-heightened awareness drop, relaxing his mind as his body was soothed by the water. He could feel the creatures of the lake forgetting his presence, going on about their business, though some short distance away from him.
Another small one moved slowly, apparently aimlessly; he felt its presence in the Force, shimmering with vitality and dim awareness. A toutha, no doubt, a reptilian creature that carried its home with it wherever it swam. Qui-Gon let it be, and leaned his head to one side. He held the hairclasp in one hand, wishing he'd thought to leave it on the shore, and ran his other hand through his hair again.
Maybe he would simply drop it here, and replace it later. The fish certainly wouldn't mind, and the indulgence of the day called for simple sacrifices. He smiled at his whimsy, grateful that his old Master was not there with him, reminding him to be mindful of such tiny gestures.
More creatures swam near and he was glad that he had disturbed them so little. One, he felt, seemed bold -- it was swimming towards him. He started to move aside to let it swim past-- when it grabbed him.
Qui-Gon screamed in surprise, and Obi-Wan came up out of the water, laughing hysterically. Qui-Gon grabbed him immediately and pulled him back, dunking him below the water's surface.
He bellowed as Obi-Wan came up, sputtering, and Qui-Gon lunged for him again. Obi-Wan laughed and tried to leap away, but his Master was too quick. Qui-Gon grabbed onto him and this time let gravity pull them both down. He held Obi-Wan under the water, feeling him squirming in his grasp.
Well before Obi-Wan could feel the limits of his breath, Qui-Gon let him up again, but did not let go. He frowned as sternly as he could. Obi-Wan smiled back. His eyes shone like the water around them. Then he shrugged, most unrepentantly. "You looked so at peace, Master. I thought you needed a break."
Qui-Gon gaped at him. "I what?"
Obi-Wan laughed, and Qui-Gon grabbed him again, this time going for ribs he knew to be ticklish. Obi-Wan cried out and tried to get away, but Qui-Gon held him, as best he could with hands and body slick from the cool water.
Obi-Wan wriggled, trying to get away. Qui-Gon pulled him closer again, and the young man suddenly reversed his direction and moved even closer, wrapping his legs around Qui-Gon's. Qui-Gon felt him pressed close and drew him up quickly, grabbing the back of Obi-Wan's head. He curled his fingers in the short hair, and pulled him in for a deep, hungry kiss.
Obi-Wan responded by wrapping his arms around Qui-Gon and hanging on, opening his mouth and drawing his Master inside. This position pressed their bodies together, warm skin and firm muscles flat against each other, hardness of Obi-Wan's cock pressed tightly against Qui-Gon's stomach.
Qui-Gon splayed his hands on Obi-Wan's back, holding him steady as he held his lover up, though the water took much of his weight. They continued to kiss, trying to devour each other through the single point of hot, wet contact.
When Qui-Gon broke the kiss and didn't move away, Obi-Wan grinned again. A single inch away, his eyes seemed huge, open wide enough for everything within them to explode into the stillness in the space between them. Qui-Gon wanted to bury himself in that explosion, and moved to capture that mouth once again.
Obi-Wan's tongue pressed into his own, touching and caressing and teasing. He tried to catch it as it moved away, and felt laughter rumble against his chest. He tried to hang onto Obi-Wan as he moved, not wanting him to escape even the slightest bit.
"Ow!"
Qui-Gon stopped, leant back, and blinked in worry. Obi-Wan rubbed his head, grinning at him and looking back over his shoulder.
"What are you -- oh!" Obi-Wan reached up and took the hairclasp from Qui-Gon's hand. "You poked me."
"I intend to," Qui-Gon replied. Obi-Wan gave him a devilish smile of anticipation.
Obi-Wan wrapped his arm back around Qui-Gon, wiggling his hips. Qui-Gon lunged, this time going for the neck. He nibbled the flesh there, loving the sound of Obi-Wan's outcry and the strength of his fingers as he dug into Qui-Gon's back.
He writhed in Qui-Gon's embrace and Qui-Gon continued to bite gently, sucking one tender spot above the collarbone. Obi-Wan cried out and thrust his hips forward. Qui-Gon held him tightly, loving the feel of his lover's desire as it coursed through his body, arms and legs alternately losing control and tightening their grip. He held on, lifting Obi-Wan a little more, and kissed a single trail down Obi-Wan's chest.
"Please!" came a soft gasp as Obi-Wan threw his head back, trying to give him room.
Qui-Gon pulled him forward again, and Obi-Wan tightened his grip. His eyes were closed, his face flushed with arousal. Qui-Gon reached between them and took hold of Obi-Wan's erection.
Obi-Wan cried out again, softly. He moved, trying to slide lower down Qui-Gon's body. They took a bare moment for re-positioning, easing Obi-Wan's legs lower on Qui-Gon's waist, then he could feel the tip of his cock press against Obi-Wan. He moaned and tried to thrust, to rub himself against the hot, slick flesh. Then he felt Obi-Wan's hand on him and he was moved slightly and slipped inside.
Qui-Gon bit Obi-Wan on the neck. There was the hint of a thought that he had gone in easily, as if Obi-Wan had prepared himself earlier. His arousal spiked and he grabbed onto Obi-Wan's hips, then pulled him down as far as he would go. Obi-Wan shouted, still holding on as well as he could, head thrown back now as his Master watched him.
Qui-Gon pulled him up slightly, then down again, and he felt Obi-Wan close about him, arms and legs tightening as Qui-Gon thrust himself inside. Obi-Wan was moaning, and he leant forward again to kiss whatever spot he could reach.
Obi-Wan pulled in closer, laying his head against Qui-Gon's, and whimpered. He tightened his legs' hold on Qui-Gon's waist, drawing himself in to rub against Qui-Gon's stomach. Qui-Gon continued to raise and lower him, letting gravity draw him down each time. He felt his lover's breath turn to heated panting, and Obi-Wan raised his head to look at him.
The deep gaze caught him, sucking him in, and he exploded.
He had to brace his legs as the power rushed over him, retaining just enough presence to remain standing as the rest of his body lost itself in Obi-Wan's embrace.
When he opened his eyes, he found dilated pupils staring at him, and he reached once again for the still-hard member trapped between their bodies. Obi-Wan wailed as Qui-Gon's hand closed around him, whimpering and shouting as if he had to decide between breathing and coming, and could not yet do either.
Qui-Gon ran his thumb up the side of the length closest to him, squeezing the tip and then rubbing, instantly hard and fast. He felt Obi-Wan begin to shake, then he was shoving himself towards Qui-Gon, back arched and arms losing their grip.
Qui-Gon held him up and stroked him, and with a final, miles-loud cry, Obi-Wan came in his hand. The sound of it echoed, and Qui-Gon grinned. After a moment, Obi-Wan pulled himself groggily forward, and draped himself over him.
"Druh yah ha ingy," Obi-Wan muttered against his shoulder.
"What?"
Obi-Wan leaned back and said more clearly, "Dropped your hair-thingy. Sorry."
Qui-Gon grinned and kissed him. It was slow, and gentle, and they touched each other everywhere they could. When it was finally broken, neither could do more than smile at the other.
Then Qui-Gon let go, and Obi-Wan dropped into the water.
"Wha--?" Obi-Wan's eyes went wide in surprise.
Qui-Gon just smiled, calmly. "Feel free to retrieve it, Padawan."
Obi-Wan gaped at him, then glared, then -- when Qui-Gon said nothing and made no move to do anything about it himself -- dove slowly back under the water.
A moment later, Qui-Gon yelped.
This time he fell backwards into the water.
