In Loving Memory
of
BOB CRANE
"Colonel Hogan"
Always a Hero to Me
1928 - 1978
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's
hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

I have heard it said
that no one ever truly dies as long as someone loves them. We know Bob
will be with us for many years to come, as his fans will always love and
remember him -- and as new generations of fans "discover" Hogan! I
discovered Hogan when I was seven years old and saw my first re-run of "Hogan's
Heroes." I'm an adult in my 30's now, and Hogan remains close to my
heart as one of my very favorite TV characters of all time. Bob Crane
will always be close to my heart for breathing life, personality, charm,
and charisma into Hogan, and for pouring all his considerable talent into
creating a character that stands the test of time. And for that remarkably
beautiful, one-of-a-kind smile.
