"Nicky and I were never close."

I laughed at your innocent
            pranks:
"Real funny,  Hutch."
"Heard you reported your car stolen"
"Why didn't you tell me you moved it?"
"Guess I forgot,  pal."

My Heart grieved with
      yours:
"How could you hurt me like that?"
"You're making a big deal out of it."
"You took our friendship...you stomped on it."

I held you in My
      Arms...carried you in your sorrow:
"I can't go on without you by my side...I can't...I won't let you go"
"I love...you,...too"

I heard your anguish from
      above:
"Please, God,  help me to find him...Let me find him alive!"
"There's not much time!...God! ...the antidote!

My Tears fell with yours:
"I loved her...my darling...our plans..."
"This pain...how long...how long?..."

I whispered
      "Forgive":
"I don't deserve you."
"Hey,  you're my partner...my brother."

I celebrated with you:
"Merry Christmas!...you like it?"
"Just what I wanted!  Perfect! You're the best!  Merry Christmas"

And know that I have loved
            you...with an everlasting love:
"I'm very sorry,  Mr. and Mrs.  Hutchinson"
"Our sympathies,  Mrs.  Starsky"
