Title: Happy New Year
I dropped my datapadd onto the table in disgust. Everything was stalled. The Taran negotiations were stalled, Qui-Gon's travel arrangements were stalled--my entire life was stalled.
He was supposed to have been here for N'atal, but now, a week later, he was still stuck on Dantooine and I was still here. I'd known all along that our duties wouldn't allow us to be together all the time, but we couldn't even have holidays?
I sighed and closed my eyes, letting my head fall back against the seat. I knew it would do me no good to feel sorry for myself. It went against everything I'd been taught and it only made me feel worse. But that didn't seem to stop the feelings.
It didn't help that Qui-Gon had been mentally silent most of the day. His negotiations had reached a critical point, and he'd all but closed the link between us as he concentrated solely on his duty. I was never happy when my love was shielded from me, and after a full day of it, I was reaching my breaking point. Meditation was definitely in order.
Just as I was starting to relax, there was a knock at the door. I took a deep breath as I crossed the room; whoever it was, it wasn't their fault that I was in a foul mood. So I pasted on a smile as I opened the door.
It was Qui-Gon. Looking rumpled and tired and good enough to eat, but most importantly, he was here. I'm sure my mouth fell open, but I didn't care. "Wha--how--"
"May I come in?"
"Of course!" I pulled the door open wide, managing not to drag him inside. I even remembered to check the hall, surprised not to find Anakin waiting there. "Where is your apprentice?"
"He's in his room. I wanted to surprise you on my own."
I closed the door and stood there. I'm sure I was grinning like a fool, but I couldn't help it. The one thing I'd wanted most for over a month was finally standing in my room. "How did you get here?"
"I would say by ship, but I sense that's not the answer you're looking for." He put down his bag and crossed the room until he was a few feet from me. "We resolved the problems in the negotiations late last night. I managed to get the first ship off planet this morning, and here I am."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I wanted it to be a surprise. I wasn't sure we could still surprise each other with this link between us," he added with a smile. "I'm glad it worked."
I crossed my arms in mock anger. "You mean you wanted to see if you could fool me?"
"No, love," he replied, closing the distance between us. "I wanted to see that look of total happiness on your face when you opened the door."
"That would have been there even if I'd known it was you before I opened it." I couldn't take any more. The link between us opened up again as I kissed him, five weeks of pent-up desire releasing itself inside me. Suddenly I couldn't get his clothes off fast enough. Mine disappeared somehow, lost on the floor we must have crossed to reach the bedroom.
We landed on the bed before I had time to figure out just how we'd gotten there. His lips devoured mine for long moments before they moved downward, trailing down my neck, across my chest and down my stomach in a leisurely path to my straining erection.
His hand got there first, teasing me with feather-light touches that hinted at the pleasure to come. Now that he'd surprised me with his arrival, he seemed intent on torturing me. I arched into the hand, but was Forced back down to the bed.
"Qui-Gon..."
My voice was almost desperate, but he silenced me with a finger, followed by one light kiss. "All in good time."
His lips trailed down my body again, faster this time. Soon, the hand was replaced by a tongue, the touches only slightly harder than before, and even more maddening. I pushed against the Force holding me to the bed, but to no avail. My hips remained flat against the sheets.
My hands were free, so I threaded them through Qui-Gon's hair, pulling him closer to my body, but again I was thwarted. Without effort, he Forced my hands out to the sides and pinned them there with invisible bonds.
Now I couldn't move; I could only wriggle a little as he teased me with his tongue. "Please!" I grated out, but his only answer was a chuckle that sent a whisper of air across me that inflamed me further. Finally, I gave up and surrendered to the sensations he was creating.
That seemed to be what he was waiting for. His mouth closed over the tip of my erection, his tongue circling it lazily, as if he had all day. And there wasn't much I could do to hurry him along. "Qui-Gon!"
He looked up, bringing a halt to his actions, which only made it worse. "Yes, love?"
"Don't stop!"
He grinned slowly then bent down again, covering the tip of my erection, then suddenly taking all of me in his mouth. I gasped, and would have thrust up into him if I could have, but my hips were still pinned to the bed.
He was definitely trying to drive me insane. There was no doubt in my mind as he released me from his mouth, letting the cool air hit me for a moment before swallowing me to the root again.
Not that going crazy would be such a bad thing, at least not under these circumstances. His tongue was doing indescribable things. And that mouth....
I'd carried the memories of that mouth with me ever since Naboo. I'd thought I remembered how incredible it felt, but the memory didn't even come close to reality. The moist heat, the swirling tongue--and oh, Force, the slight scrape of his teeth. Some kind of strange strangled noise escaped my lips as he reached down to caress my balls and sucked hard on my erection.
Flames shot through me from head to toe. I could feel my hips bucking against the Force bonds that held them in place as I poured myself into him. He held me in his mouth until the storm passed, then slowly kissed his way back up my body, still refusing to release me from the bonds. I was too sated to argue.
Finally he released me, only to gather me in his arms and pull me close to him. I went willingly, still unable to speak. I managed to press a kiss against his chest, drawing a slight laugh from him. "I have missed you," he said with a sigh.
"Me too." The words were weak, but at least I was speaking again. "You owe me."
"What?"
"You have to teach me that trick."
He frowned down at me. "Trick? Which--oh, that, trick...."
I raised one eyebrow at him. "Yes, that trick," I mimicked before snuggling in closer to him. "Tomorrow. You can teach me tomorrow."
His laugh was stronger this time as he pulled the blanket up over us and held me even tighter. "Happy New Year, Obi-Wan."
"Happy New Year," I mumbled, already succumbing to sleep, and dreams of what other surprises the rest of the year might hold.
