I'm bored, there's nothing to do, somebody play with me!

Well, it would be a pleasure to play with you,
But your nails are long and sharp,
And biting and scratching happen to be your favorite pastime.
Go play with other cats, who have thick furs.
Me, being human, without any fur,
Will end up covered with scratches if I put up with you.
Oh, don't roll around there, you'll bend the pages.
Hey, don't sit there, I can't see the screen.
If you get up on my arm, how can I type?
If you wriggle so close to the edge, you'll. . .oops.

Cat stalks off.

Left behind on top of the desk
a mountain of books and paper
the monitor still blank
mind emptier still
