It was months before I noticed,
More weeks before I understood.

Too scared to take the first step
Into the great unknown
I dare not go, I dare not go.

Is the ground under my feet really firm?
Will the sky not fall on my head tomorrow?

Will you laugh at me, laugh at me, laugh at me?

Weeks before I understood.
