Before you jump headfirst into the list, there are a few things you need to be aware of:

This list is for slash fiction. That's same-sex pairings. Male/male are typical, female/female, while not my own particular favorite, are welcome too.

Because this is a slash list this is not a place for kids. Joining the list means that you are legally stating that you are of age to read adult fiction. If I find anyone who lies you WILL be banned from the lis t. Period.

My name is The Brat Queen and I am the listmom. This means that I'm in charge. Now you'll find I tend to be rather laid-back about this sort of thing and I'm more than happy to let everyone take care of themselves. However be aware that what I say goes and in a fight I'm always going to get the final vote. Since this list is meant to be friendly and encouraging, let's all try to do what we can to keep situations where I have to be the dictator to a minimum.

General netiquette rules apply. This means:

1. Think before you post
2. When replying, do not quote the entire post. Instead, only quote those parts you are replying to
3. Flamewars are a no-no
4. Pointless posts (ie "Me too!") are discouraged
5. Do not forward any posts to the list unless they are ON TOPIC

Also, do not reply to trolls or flamebaiters on the list. If you are having a problem with someone do tell me about it privately. There's a chance I never saw the post in question. If you can, include the post along with an explanation of why you have a problem with it.

General fic posting rules apply. This means:

1. All stories must have the word "FIC" in the subject heading
2. Stories with potentially upsetting content (eg rape, incest, underage characters, etc.) MUST have warnings in the headers
3. You must play nicely with PEJA, who is in charge of the archive and has final say on what goes in and how she needs stories to be formatted.

Other important fic information:

All kinds of Batman canon are welcome here be it the animated shows, the movies or the comic books. Spin-off series (eg "Teen Titans") are welcome too as long as they involve characters that originated in the Batman unive rse.

Stories should involve same-sex pairings (m/m, f/f) or somehow involve that concept. Do not post stories which only involve action, heterosexual romance or some other topic. Exceptions to this rule are: stories with multiple parts wherein not every part deals with a slash relationship or stories with a heterosexual pairing which deal with one of the characters coming to terms with their sexuality (in other words if the story is about Bruce falling in love with Selene don't post it, but if it's about Bruce loving Selene while Batman is in love with Robin, post it. )

Feel free to post stories which are "pre-slash" (meaning the relationship hasn't happened yet but will someday) or, though not explicitly sexual, involve the closeness of the characters somehow.

Stories which deal with rape, BDSM, abuse, incest or pedohilia (aka chan-slash) are welcome on the list WITH the appropriate label/warning. While I totally welcome everyone's freedom of expression please note that fai lure to warn people about rape, abuse, incest or pedophilia in your story may result in your being banned from the list.

If you are ever uncertain if your story is appropriate feel free to ask me before posting.

Regarding Being Banned

It is a rare circumstance that will result in me banning you without warning. I try to give everyone at least a second chance and I will write to you privately to let you know what you did wrong and why. If, after I wri te to you, you continue to do the same thing I will ban you from the list.

Final Notes:

The purpose of the list is to encourage writing. If you are a writer please post your stories. If you are a reader post feedback, offer your services for beta-reading or provide just general moral support. If nothing else, just let the writers know if you read their story or not. They will appreciate it.

Discussion is also welcome on the list, although it should stay as on-topic as possible. This means discussions about relationships, interpretations of episodes, etc. Certain leeway will be allowed for general conversational flow, but do try to stay as on-topic as you can.
