Explosions had been heard from across the compound, and after everyone had picked themselves up from where they'd thrown themselves on the ground, it turned out that nothing had been harmed. In the end, Henry had decided they'd been farther away than they'd seemed, and since explosions were nothing unusual in this part of Korea, it wasn't long before everyone had gone about their business.

Hot Lips, however, had goaded Frank until he'd decided that it was his duty as an officer to patrol the compound, just in case the responsible party was still around.

Back in the Swamp, Trapper turned to Hawkeye. "How did you do it?" he demanded.

"That's right, this entire war is all part of my master plan to scare the pants off Frank Burns in the middle of the night. Don't tell anybody, though, I don't take requests." He shrugged. "I had nothing to do with it."

"Pity," said Trapper. "I'd have had to reward that kind of brilliance."

Hawkeye grinned. "Okay. Bribed one of the locals to set off some fireworks. I figured it'd keep Frank out of the tent all night."

"I *knew* that was you."

"So do I get my reward?"

Trapper grinned. "Yeah. Come here."
