"Open wider Alex."

"No more Fox...I'm full."

"Just a little more, come on."

Alex shook his head, edging away from his lover, shaking his head. "If I have one more bite...I'll explode."

"But it's chocolate caramel, your favourite." Fox coaxed, holding the chocolate covered treat to Alex's lips.

"But I'll be sick." Alex whined scooting his naked butt along the floor trying to find a means of escape.

"Try this one then...it's hazelnut. You love hazelnut."

"No, I'll barf. Honestly I will." Alex gasped. "Please Fox...no more."

"One more."

"No."

"A nibble Alex, just a nibble." Fox dangled the delicious looking object in front of Alex's nose temptingly.

"Ooohhh, alright." Alex groaned, giving in. Fox lowered the treat to Alex's lips, and opening his mouth, took a bite. The chocolate seemed to melt on his tongue.

"Here, you have some chocolate smeared on your lips." Fox murmured, then bent his head to lick it off.

Alex sighed as he felt the warmth of Fox's lips against his own. Then Fox used the biscuit to smear more chocolate on Alex's mouth so that he could kiss it off again.

They were so deeply involved in their game, that neither of them heard the front door open.

"What's going on in here?" Walter asked as he surveyed the wreckage of the living room.

Both his lovers were naked and surrounded by dozens of open packets of Tim Tams. Half eaten biscuits were strewn over the rug and there was a trail of crumbs that seemed to stretch from one end of the house to the other.

"Uh, hi Walter." Fox greeted him with a slightly embarrassed grin. "You're home early."

"The meeting ended early so I thought I would come home and surprise you both." By the look on Walter's face though, it was easy to see who had gotten the surprise.

Gingerly stepping around the chaos, Walter walked over to where Alex and Fox were sitting.

"Okay, you want to tell me what the hell happened in here?"

"I was giving Alex his birthday surprise." Fox replied. "See." He waved his arm vaguely in the direction of the surrounding mess.

"Alex's birthday" Walter looked confused, then his face cleared, to be replaced with horror. He had completely forgotten his lover's birthday. Oh shit.

"Walter, you knew it was my birthday, didn't you?" Alex was gazing up at him with a mixture of surprise and hurt. Walter had never forgotten before.

"No...no, of course not." Walter replied quickly, a little too quickly. "I have a great surprised planned for you."

"Great." Alex replied, his face brightening. "What is it?"

"Uh, if I told you what it was...it wouldn't be a surprise now, would it." Walter told him, mentally thanking god that he had the ability to think quickly on his feet.

"Why don't you clean up this mess and then you can go and get ready. I'm taking the three of us out for Alex's birthday dinner."

"Okay Walter." Fox replied. Grabbing Alex by the hand, he helped his lover, who was still slightly groggy from all the chocolate, up to his feet.

Hurrying upstairs, Walter prayed that their favourite restaurant would be able to fit in a last minute booking for three.

Dialing the number from memory, Walter was relieved when he was assured that a table would be ready for them for seven thirty.

After a couple more calls, the rest of the surprise as arranged and Walter could breathe a sigh of relief. Disaster averted.

Garina's was bustling by the time Walter, Alex and Fox arrived. They were shown to their table, unaware of the appreciative glances that they were drawing from many of the women...and a few of the men as well.

After their orders were taken, Alex smiled over at Walter, his eyes shining.

"This is great." He said happily. "And to think that I thought that you'd forgotten."

"Forget your birthday Alex," Walter scoffed, mentally crossing his fingers. "I would never do that."

The meal was superb, and the huge cake that was topped with sparklers absolutely delighted both Alex and Fox. The entire restaurant joined in singing Happy Birthday, making Alex blush with embarrassment and joy-he was still becoming accustomed to being fussed over like this.

The drive home was quiet, the three men sitting together in content, comfortable silence. Once home, they notice a large box sitting on the porch.

"What's this Walter?" Alex asked, picking it up.

"Open it and see." Walter replied with a grin.

Lifting the lid off the box, Alex peered inside. Nestled in amongst the brightly coloured tissue paper were a dozen red roses.

It had cost Walter a small fortune to have them delivered so late, but what the hell, the delighted expression on his lover's face made it all worthwhile.

Later that night, the three of them were snuggled together in the huge bed, replete from their very energetic love making. Sticky and sated, they held each other, Alex in his usual place in the middle. The only way he could fall asleep was being between his lover's warm bodies. It made him feel secure somehow, protected.

"Did you have a good birthday love?" Walter asked, lazily stroking his hand down Alex's good arm.

"Hmm hm." Alex mumbled sleepily.

Walter smiled, then leaned over to kiss the adorable little rat goodnight. Alex sighed and snuggled in even deeper, settling himself into his favourite sleeping position which usually involved leaning his head on Fox's shoulder while spooning against Walter.

Gradually they began to drift off when suddenly Walter sat up.

"Fox, where the hell did you get all the Tim Tams?"
