This was a delightful story. Your way of conveying Ray's efforts to balance the surrounding homophobia with his burgeoning relationship with Benton was very effective.

I recently received the Due South DVDs, and I'm exploring the fic based on the show. Yours is great!

Anyway, thanks for sharing your work.

Fabulous story! I really love the way you seemlessly wove together the A and B story of the case-fic and their developing relationship, with Ray's anxieties about what would happen if they were outed.

I really liked how we got a procedural and a love story interwoven. And Ray learns how to see Benton, not just Super-Mountie.

One wonders how Meg took Ray's combination foot n mouth/verbal spew regarding who Fraser was playing darts.

There is a missing italic close tag.

This story made me giggle and made me get teary eyed, a very rare combinbination. I loved the end with Welsh and Frasers dad. Thankyou very much

What a read! I really liked how you had Benton reading about m/m sex (therefore echoing his upbringing by two librarians) and Ray's constant anxiety *ahem* somewhat justified paranoia about "being able to pass for straight" (because of the police angle). It was also rather gratifying to see Welsh, Frannie and even Huey's various degrees of tolerance and acceptance of gays and gay relationships.

All of the scenes at Ray and Benton's 'home' (as per described by Fraser) were super-hot!

The case was frighteningly real. Especially the part where the gay community is weary of Ray and Benton's involvement in the investigation since other policemen have done such a crappy job of protecting ALL of the citizens.

I'll look forward to reading more of your fic!

Great read - well plotted and thought out. Good conversation that runs true to the characters. I'm very fond of long stories, and this one delivers. Characterizations were spot on, and I just liked it so much. Sweet with a hint of spice and little sour.... So good to read a new DS story!

just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this story. The sweet attraction and commitment was warm and nice. I like the big dramatic stories too but this one was so easy with just enough angst to keep it intriquing.

So glad the fandom has writers after all this time.

Please keep writing R/K - love 'em.
