Attached is a list of financials for Squidge.org, INC for 2024. While we raised enough money to cover our expenses, because of legal requirements and filings, we actually didn’t quite cover all of our bills – so it’s a good thing we had a cushion in the bank to cover these expenses.
As a breakdown:
- $2,897.17 raised from fundraising
- $227.89 spent on fundraising gifts (t-shirts, stickers, etc.)
- $549 spent on LegalZoom, an entity that does our legal filings and such
- $2,484.75 spent on webhosting and ISP charges, as well as other applications needed to run the day-to-day operations. This number includes our online service for FenRecs.com which debuted in 2024.
The good news is, we are no longer paying $10/month for Akismet spam software service, as we qualify for non-profit status and get said service for free as long as we make under 60,000 API calls in a month. Just in the last couple of months, SquidgeWorld Archive (the site that uses Akismet API calls) just breached 10,000 API calls per month, so we should be good for many years.
