Valley of Darkness II: Children’s Crusade

by MaryReilly

Disclaimer: This story is absolutely, positively, NOT FOR CHILDREN. I don’t care how mature you think you are, this is rated NC-17 and has very, very little to do with the real show. After all, I didn’t call it “Valley of Bubbles and Rainbows,” did I? It features graphic sexual descriptions of characters who are probably too young for the situations I’m putting them in, but I figure, hey, if you’re old enough to save the world...
Oh, and I don’t own most of these characters, let alone the concept of the Rangers. I’m just borrowing them for a little storytelling. They are owned by The Powers That Be at Toei, Fox, Renaissance, and Saban, all of whom have two things in common: they have lots of money and wouldn’t have anything to do with this little series. I have no money, and I happen to really like the idea behind this series. So, while we’re not too far apart, I hope we stay that way. Send comments to the address above.

Once upon a time...

there was a lovely princess, and she lived in the highest tower of the most beautiful castle in all the land. Her husband, the Prince, was wise and handsome, and together the two wanted nothing. They had an adorable child, a little baby boy whom they both loved.

However, nothing remains perfect forever. The enemies of the King declared war, so the prince had to go away and fight. As he stood by the head of his horse, he said these words to his wife:

"Keep our son safe, my darling. He is the future of our land. Let no harm come to him. Fear not, I shall return victorious to you before you can miss me."

With that, he left and the princess stayed.

The war dragged on and on. The princess tried hard to be brave, but the armies of the enemy fought closer and closer to the beautiful tower and its precious contents with each passing day. Soon, the enemy was at the very gate laying siege to the once beautiful castle and its high, strong towers.

The princess and her baby son were not afraid, until one night a traitor killed the captain and the guards, and let down the gate of the impenetrable tower. The princess ran to the top of the tower, thinking to hide there safely until the prince saved them.

The enemy searched and searched, but could not find the hiding princess and the future of the land. Just as they were certain the princess had somehow escaped, they heard a baby cry and knew she was somewhere in the tower.

"Shh!" cried the princess. "Don't cry! I'll tell you a story. Listen:
